ChicoEco.org is a Butte Environmental Council Website that pulls together our communal knowledge of eco-projects, a directory of local green businesses, and a full calendar of action events for the purpose of global cooling.
Everyday local people are doing cool things for the earth. We are charging forward toward a sustainable future, hanging our laundry, growing tomatoes, harvesting rainwater, building our homes 'green', and getting to know our neighbors. ChicoEco.org is a place for us in the Chico, California area to share these projects with our neighbors. It is a place to come together and become a powerhouse for global cooling. It is a place to discover local businesses that are creating a thriving economy through sustainable food, services and products. When we come together, share information, experiences and skills our efforts extend beyond ourselves and into our community.

These folks are wanting to share what they have learned by just doing it - some are experts in the field, some are just winging it - either way it is all interesting and inspiring.
